Pride and the men

Not a big sports fan.

Especially all the guff that goes before and after. Screeds of it.

Lewis Hamilton, for whom I have some respect as both a driver and human under the spotlight, has conceded, after what looks like a spectacular cock-up, that 'mistakes have been made'.

Multi-million England Football manager, when commenting in the recent efforts of his multi-million 'talents' against Khazakstan, has moved from a rather different stance I heard 't'other day to a terse 'Well, it's only the result that matters'. Perhaps not if you pay to watch a good game?

What was refreshing that in what passes for more humility on their part, we are at least treated to a wee bit more brevity in their contributions.

I believe in freedom of speech. But I also don't like bullies on blogs, even verbal ones, as they can drive away those with something valid to say... or offer.

Subjective is fine, but well argued and substantiated is even better. Calm and polite tops. Anything that crosses my personal line will not go up. There may be reasons given, but not guaranteed.

I'm not too keen on 'Anon' as a handle (and the content usually explains why), so if that's what you opt for it may not make it. Sorry.
