Yes, it is who you know

Naughtie, naughtie

Now I know some media of certain hues are rather against nepotism in even free-market areas, so it is to be wondered what the view might be in areas of interest to, and paid for... by the public.

I know a few questions popped into my head upon reading this. With luck it will a few more. Sadly the Indy seemed/ed unable to pursue the BBC's vague staff/intern tracking further.

Like the recent selection of a Guardian Travel Editor's son to get a paid gig on that very paper worked so well.

Some really are more equal than others it seems. And worse, don't seem to care whose noses they rub that fact into. I guess they know they are immune.

I believe in freedom of speech. But I also don't like bullies on blogs, even verbal ones, as they can drive away those with something valid to say... or offer.

Subjective is fine, but well argued and substantiated is even better. Calm and polite tops. Anything that crosses my personal line will not go up. There may be reasons given, but not guaranteed.

I'm not too keen on 'Anon' as a handle (and the content usually explains why), so if that's what you opt for it may not make it. Sorry.
